What a prosthodontist is, and why it matters to you
Prosthodontics is one of twelve dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association. After dental school, a prosthodontist completes three additional years of full-time residency devoted entirely to restoring and replacing teeth — crowns, bridges, veneers, dental implants, and dentures of every kind.
Dr. Susana Kulangara completed that residency at the Washington, D.C. VA Hospital in conjunction with the Navy Post-Graduate Dental School, then practiced at the Brooklyn VA and served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Prosthodontics Department at New York University. She is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the Florida Prosthodontic Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
